December Focus: FAFSA
FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The application is easy to fill out online and the information is used to determine your eligibility for many types of financial aid.
UPDATE: The FAFSA now becomes available on October 1st.
It is best to get your FAFSA completed as soon as possible because there are many different deadlines depending on where you live and where you plan on going to school.
Keep in mind, you have to fill out the FAFSA every year that you are in school to stay eligible for financial aid.
Visit the Federal Student Aid website for basic information about what you will need in order to complete your FAFSA; this will ensure that you are ready as soon as it is available in January.
